Results
In the following, the results of a 5-year-study from 2001 are presented. In this study, 118 sinus floor augmentations were carried out using the SALSA technique. This involved the insertion of 211 titanium screw-type implants in total. The survival probability of the implants was investigated with the help of the Kaplan-Meier survival analysis. The augmentation height and the bone resorption were also investigated. In doing so, it was distinguished between one-stage and two-stage approaches, too.
The results of this study are:
Allocation of the inserted implants
The following graphic shows the allocation of the primarily and secondarily inserted dental implants depending on the region. The majority of the implants was inserted in the regions 5 and 6. Significantly less dental implants were inserted in the regions 4 and 7. The predominant part of the implants was inserted primarily. All in all, 175 implants were inserted primarily and 36 implants were inserted secondarily.
